#ASHLEY ON INSTA
Tommy and his wife, Judy, raised their two children on a small cattle farm just outside Heber Springs where he worked in the telecommunications industry, both as an employee and a small business owner. During this time, Mr. Land decided he could do more for the citizens of the state that has given him so much.
He decided the Land Commissioner’s office is where he could make the best impact. With no opposition on the primary ballot in 2018, the first-time politician accepted the Republican nomination and went on to win against two other opponents in the general election with more than 60% of the vote statewide. He is now seeking another four-year term.
Only the second Republican elected to this position, Commissioner Land has focused on efficiency and customer service. “I am tremendously pleased with the employees in my office who consistently show pride in their work. They are the reason the new policies and directives I have put into place are so effective. If given the chance to lead the office another four years, my focus will remain the same.” said Commissioner Land about his record and vision for the future.
Most notable on his list of achievements is the new ability to do most interactions with his office online. Before Commissioner Land’s administration, many Arkansans would have to drive to Little Rock to complete notarized paperwork in order to redeem property. This process can now be completed 100% online from the comfort of your home.
Tommy looks forward to continuing traveling the state and meeting more Arkansans who share his vision for an efficient and responsive government.
